Losing Weight Could Mean You Are Losing Water

Tech tipsComputer Tricks

Losing water weight and muscle mass is not necessarily an effective measure of weight loss, which is, sadly, all that most fad diets have to offer. “Weight loss” is actually a misnomer. If you are overweight, you don’t necessarily want to lose “weight”. You want to lose “fat”, not “muscle mass”, and not “water weight”. Just seeing the numbers go down on the bathroom scale is not necessarily an accurate indicator of your overall health. Your body fat percentage is what needs to go down, which is the percentage of your body mass is comprised of fat tissue.
